Most travelers visit Florida one city at a time. That’s the slow way.
The better way is to treat Florida like a connected experience—moving from coast to coast, beach to city, luxury to adventure. Done right, this becomes one of the best luxury-meets-adventure trips in the U.S.
Here’s how to do it.
Day 1: Arrive in Miami

How to Get There
Fly into:
Miami International Airport
Best for:
- domestic arrivals
- international travelers
- easiest car rental options
Typical transfer times:
- to Sunny Isles: 35–45 min
- to downtown Miami: 20–30 min
Tip: use Uber on arrival; skip rental car on day one.
Where to Stay (Luxury Pick)

Acqualina Resort & Residences On The Beach – America’s #1 resort (US News & World Report). Five-star barefoot luxury on a pristine Atlantic beach 20 minutes north of Miami.

Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach occupies 4.5 beachfront acres in Sunny Isles, conjuring a Mediterranean villa atmosphere with Baroque fountains, sculpted archways, and a gallery lobby of Brazilian marble. The signature red umbrellas of the beach club are a recognisable icon of South Florida luxury.
Three oceanfront pools — including an adults-only pool and a family pool — are served by attentive staff who deliver fresh coconuts emblazoned with the Acqualina crest. Four restaurants including the celebrated Il Mulino New York and Avra Miami bring world-class dining directly to the beach.

What to Do
Spend your afternoon:
- beach walk at Sunny Isles
- pool time
- sunset on the sand
Day 2: Miami + Eataly + Drive to West Palm Beach

Morning in Miami
Miami doesn’t ease you in gently. It announces itself in colour, sound, and speed. The Brickell financial district gleams with glass towers and has cultivated one of America’s most concentrated luxury automotive scenes — McLarens, Ferraris and Lamborghinis are parked outside coffee shops like they’re Toyotas. The free Metromover elevated train connects it all effortlessly, threading through downtown towers with views that make every ride feel cinematic.

For 2026, Miami is also capitalizing on FIFA World Cup infrastructure — new transit options, upgraded hotel facilities, and a city-wide energy that makes this the best time to visit in years.
Visit:
- South Beach
- Little Havana
- Bayside Marketplace
Must-try: Cuban coffee.

Lunch at Eataly Aventura

Italy’s most celebrated food hall lands inside Aventura Mall — a sensory paradise of artisan chocolates, handmade pasta, gelato, and authentic Italian products. Step through the doors of Eataly at Aventura Mall and the world outside — the South Florida heat, the mall’s buzz — disappears completely. You’re in Milan. The chocolate wall alone is worth the trip: Italian confections in jewel-toned wrappers, hazelnut pralines, pistachio creams, and every regional specialty you’ve never heard of but immediately need to try.

The gelato counter offers dozens of authentic flavors, churned fresh daily. The deli section overflows with imported charcuterie, regional cheeses, prepared antipasti, and fresh pasta. Multiple restaurants inside offer everything from a quick espresso and cornetto to a full sit-down Italian meal. Budget 2–3 hours minimum — you’ll want them.

Day 4: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Full Day

Disney’s most immersive park. Pandora: The World of Avatar will genuinely make your jaw drop — floating mountains, bioluminescent forests, and the best ride in Florida.
Animal Kingdom is the most affordable of Disney World’s four parks — and arguably the most spectacular. Pandora alone is worth the admission price: Avatar Flight of Passage is the highest-rated ride in all of Walt Disney World, a soaring banshee flight over an alien world that leaves guests breathless and immediately wanting to re-ride.
Beyond Pandora, the Kilimanjaro Safaris tour brings you within feet of real elephants, lions, hippos and cheetahs. The Tree of Life stands 145 feet tall, its bark carved with 325 animals. And the Rainforest Cafe at the park entrance is a destination in itself — a dramatic, theatrical dining space under the jungle canopy.
Pro tip: Use Lightning Lane for Flight of Passage — the standby queue regularly exceeds 90 minutes. Arrive at rope drop and head directly to Pandora for the shortest waits of the day.
Where to Stay
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Overlooks a real savanna with giraffes visible from rooms. Disney guests get Early Park Entry. From $380/night.
Where to Eat
- Tiffins Restaurant

Day 5: Drive to Tampa
Drive:
~1 hr 20 min
What to Do in Tampa
Tampa’s old brick streets, stunning Mediterranean architecture, and flower trucks will win you over.

The University of Tampa’s Mediterranean Revival building — built in 1891 as the Tampa Bay Hotel — remains one of Florida’s most photographed architectural landmarks. Its Moorish minarets catch the afternoon light spectacularly. A short walk away, the Water Works Park district buzzes with weekend energy: the vintage Posie Flower Truck, its blue body laden with fresh-cut blooms, parks beneath fairy lights and draws the whole neighbourhood in.
Tampa’s Ybor City neighbourhood, its Latin legacy alive in every brick and cigar shop, offers some of the best nightlife and Cuban food in the South. The Tampa Riverwalk connects 2.6 miles of waterfront parks, restaurants, and arts spaces — free, beautiful, and utterly walkable.
Where to Eat:
- Columbia Restaurant, Ybor City
Florida’s oldest restaurant (est. 1905). Legendary Cuban sandwich, flamenco shows, and Spanish-Cuban cuisine. A must.
