Universal Studios Florida in Fall 2026

I spent last Thursday at Universal Studios Florida on a wet, gray day, and it ended up being a great way to test what the park is like when the weather does not cooperate. The short version: plenty of the big rides are indoors, the food prices are steep enough to plan around, and a little prep saves real money. Here is the full picture, with current prices.

One-day ticket: Universal Studios Florida starts at $119 per person

Parking: $35 regular, or $32 if you prepay before the day of your visit

Halloween Horror Nights 2026: its 35th year, on select nights from August 28 through November 1

Tallest height rule: 51 inches (Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit)

How Much Does Universal Studios Florida Cost in 2026?

A one-day ticket to Universal Studios Florida starts at $119, and prices rise on busier dates. Epic Universe starts higher, at $139. If you plan to visit more than one park, Universal’s 3-, 4- and 5-day Park-to-Park tickets now include Epic Universe and allow same-day hopping. The 3-day ticket typically starts around $379 for adults.

Getting There: Parking and CityWalk

Universal Orlando Resort
The Welcome to Universal Orlando Resort sign over the CityWalk promenade, with guests walking toward the parks.

The walk from the parking garages to the parks runs through Universal CityWalk, the dining and shopping district. It is a good place to eat before or after a park day, and the Welcome to Universal Orlando Resort sign over the promenade is the moment it starts to feel real. Restaurants such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. sit right along the walkway, and Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food is just a few steps away.

You will also pass Hollywood Drive-In Golf, a mini golf spot at the start of CityWalk with two 18-hole courses: The Haunting of Ghostly Greens, themed to classic drive-in horror movies, and Invaders from Planet Putt, themed to 1950s sci-fi. Check the current price for a round before you go, since it has changed since the course opened.

Inside the Park: Rain Is Not a Dealbreaker

The nice thing about Universal Studios Florida is that many of the attractions and rides are indoors. On my visit the pavements were slick, plenty of guests were in rain ponchos, and the park still felt busy and fun. Dress for the weather, keep a poncho handy, and plan your outdoor stops for the dry spells.

Minion Land and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem

Minion Land is the brightest corner of the park, even under a gray sky. The headliner is Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, which has a 40-inch height rule for the main ride, with stationary seating available for smaller kids. Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, nearby, has no height requirement.

Springfield: Home of The Simpsons

Springfield is full of jokes and photo spots. Krusty’s giant head greets you at Krustyland, where The Simpsons Ride has a 40-inch height rule. The food is part of the fun too: a Krusty Burger platter is $13.99, and the Clogger Burger platter is $17.99.

Transformers and Diagon Alley

Transformers: The Ride-3D, with Optimus Prime looming over the entrance, also has a 40-inch rule. In Diagon Alley, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts requires 42 inches. The dragon on the bank’s roof makes a great photo, and the Leaky Cauldron menu lists Butterbeer at $9.49 and Fish & Chips at $19.99.

Money tip:
Skip the sit-down meal at lunchtime and split a platter instead. At the Leaky Cauldron, a fish and chips plate is $19.99 and a Butterbeer is $9.49, so two people sharing add up fast.

Halloween Season at Universal Studios Florida

Halloween Horror Nights turns 35 this year, running on select nights from August 28 through November 1. It is a separately ticketed event at Universal Studios Florida, and guests visiting during the day on event dates who are not staying for it have to leave before it begins. Check the calendar before you buy a day ticket, so your visit does not overlap an event night.

Showtimes and schedules change, so check the Universal app on the day you visit.

Closed rides and what is coming

  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit closed for good on August 18, 2025, and the coaster was demolished.
  • Fast & Furious: Supercharged closed permanently after its last day on August 16, 2026.
  • Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is rising on the former Rip Ride Rockit site and is scheduled to open in 2027. It will have a 170-foot vertical spike, which would make it the tallest coaster at Universal Orlando.

Heights can change, so confirm them in the Universal app before you line up.

A Rainy-Day Plan for Universal Studios Florida

  1. Ride the indoor headliners first, such as Escape from Gringotts and Revenge of the Mummy, when you are fresh.
  2. Save the outdoor coaster (Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit) for a dry window.
  3. Eat lunch indoors, at a spot like the Leaky Cauldron.
  4. Bring a poncho. Plenty of guests had them on my visit.
  5. Take photos between showers, since the colors in Minion Land and Springfield pop on wet pavement.

How to Save Money at Universal Studios Florida

  • Prepay parking to save $3.
  • Skip peak dates when you can, since ticket prices are date-based.
  • Compare multi-day tickets. A 3-day Park-to-Park ticket around $379 works out to about $126 a day.
  • Share meals. The Fish & Chips at $19.99 and Krusty Burger platter at $13.99 are easy to split with a side.
  • Eat at CityWalk before or after your park day to take pressure off park food prices.
  • Planning a bigger Orlando trip? Get 50% Off Best Attractions With CityPASS, then check which parks and tickets are included for your dates.
